Bandsaw safety checklist
Run this before the first cut of every shift
Wear eye and hearing protection
Wear cut-resistant gloves and apron
Blade guard in place and adjusted
Blade condition and tension checked
Work area clear, floor dry
Emergency stop tested
Push stick or feed device to hand
No loose clothing, jewellery, gloves near the blade
Lockout applied before any blade change
Report faults to your supervisor

Never reach past the blade
Feed with a push device. Move the product, not your hands.

Guard stays down while cutting
If the guard will not close, the saw does not run.

Stop and lock out to clear a jam
Blade fully stopped, isolator locked, key in your pocket.

Untrained operators must not use this machine. Ask your supervisor for sign-off.
